Hein Crocker

Founder | Managing Director

As the Managing Director and founding member of SQAS-SA, Hein Crocker is responsible for running all the facets of the business. Hein has a proven senior management track record and over 20 years of experience in the Fleet Management Services Industrie. Prior to SQAS-SA, Hein was the founding member and Managing Director of Dreamworks Technologies, a company that specialised in Fuel Management. Dreamworks Technologies was instrumental in saving their customers millions of rands in fuel cost. Hein also served as the head of the Intelligent Fuel Management division at Avis Fleet. Hein was previously also the Managing Director of Orbtech Tracking, a role player in the vehicle telematics market, where he was responsible for the day to day management of the business. Hein started his career as a policeman, holds a National Diploma in Police Science and had the rank of Lieutenant when he left the police force in 1989. Hein is also actively involved in community work where he provides skills training and assist a number of non-profit organisations.

Warren Whiteley

Warren has represented both the South African Sevens and Springbok Rugby Teams. In 2012, he formed part of the Blitzboks team that went on to win a Gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. He is well known for being one of the most capped Super Rugby captains and was instrumental in leading the Lions to 3 consecutive Super Rugby finals. In June 2017 Warren was named the 58th Springbok captain. Off the field, Warren serves as the President of the South African Rugby Players Association (SARPA) and is also a member of the International Rugby Players board.

Peter Proctor

Sales and Customer Care

Peter has extensive knowledge of the fuel industry in the areas of fuel and lubricant sales, payment solutions, fuel automation and fuel management.

In his tenure at Shell was responsible for the diesel and alliance card business running the entire operation in Southern Africa.

This followed a move to Caltex where he ran the card and payment solutions business, including sales and marketing. He developed alliance fuel cards with all the major banks.

He then took up a position as an agent for Avis Fleet Services, where he was responsible for selling fuel management solutions to the transport sector.
